VISION

To create a society where every individual can freely unleash

their unique abilities, free from racism and discrimination, and work towards an inclusive and just future.

WHY

Racism hinders the individual development and full potential of people.
It undermines unity, devalues individuals, threatens their safety, and negatively

affects their sense of belonging. All of this contradicts the fundamental principle

of an equal and diverse society, enshrined in the constitution.

Over 22% of the German population has personally experienced racism.

This demonstrates that racism is not an isolated phenomenon affecting only

a small group, but rather a societal issue.

The experiences of devaluation, exclusion, and discrimination in everyday life

and interactions with societal institutions have serious implications for individual

fulfillment and the sense of belonging to society. This can lead to individuals not

fully realizing their potential, withdrawing, or even becoming detached from society.

It is important to acknowledge this issue and take measures to combat racism

and promote an inclusive society where all individuals can freely develop and thrive.

OUR SOLUTION

8P4A9215.jpg

ROOTS is a non-profit organization that brings the BIPoC* community together through creativity, movement and knowledge sharing.

We are specifically committed to BIPoC in Berlin and concentrate on offers that focus on the holistic well-being of the community.

On the one hand, this is about a positive self-perception and, on the other, very specific practical help for those affected by racism and discrimination.

We promote this through our offers on the topics of movement, creativity
& Healing Justice. Supported by experts, the participants learn
to develop body awareness on the one hand and to develop their own artistic potential on the other.
